Happy V-day to you!
As you already know, I’m tending to matters of the heart this Valentine season with my Sweet Hearts challenge, and by sending valentines to strangers in card swaps hosted by Be Up & Doing and Aunt Peaches. Well, I’ve added one last project for this lovely time of year, by joining One Sheepish Girl in her heart bombing project.
The idea behind this project is to leave a hand-made (crochet, knit, stitched, etc) heart in special spaces around your city. The hope is that someone in need of a pick-me-up will stumble across it.
I made these heart bombs with recycled twine I had used in a previous project, sticker felt, and scrap card stock. I wrote “Be Happy” in both Korean and English on the tags. Today, I will hang them in various places around my neighborhood- mailboxes, a janitor’s closet, at a bus stop, in a cafe, etc.
My one wish for the recipients of these hearts is a moment of happiness, and the assurance that someone somewhere is thinking of them.
Same goes for you, friend.
^^
